Associate Professor Webb's Visual Portfolio
Alex Webb is the Associate Professor of Emergent Technology and the director of the Predock Center for Design Research at the University of New Mexico. Alex holds both an architectural license and a PhD in Digital Design Theory, uniquely positioning him to investigate the relationship between theory and practice. As we collectively grapple with the recognition of the Anthropocene, Alex's work bridges the gap between the academy and the firm to identify the practices and processes that have enabled climate change.
Alex has collaborated with and worked for firms such as Marmol + Radziner, Patterns, Coop Himmelb(l)au, Xefirotarch, Jones Partners Architects, and Gensler. Alex holds a Masters of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, a Bachelors of Arts from Colorado College, and has also studied architecture and design at the Berlage Institute and Columbia University.
