"Safer Streets" multi-disciplinary team wins Grand Challenge Level One

Safer Streets has been selected for UNM Grand Challenges Level One funding for AY 2025-26. PIs Dr. Alexander Webb (SA+P and Director Predock Center) and Dr. Lisa Losada-Rojas (Civil Engineering) are joined by team members Dr. Maryam Hojati,(Civil Engineering), Dr. Nick Ferenchak, (Civil Engineering, Center Director, Center for Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety), Dr. Kiwoong Park, (Sociology), Dr. Andrea Polli (Fine Arts), Dr. Stewart Copeland, (Director ArtsLab), Michaele Pride, (Director, Design and Planning Assistance Center), and Catherine Page Harris, (Chair, Department of Landscape Architecture). This multi-disciplinary team will work on social, cultural, design and planning issues of safe and equitable streets for all.
