Jeff Harnar Award Announced

Jeff Harnar Award winning residenceThe Lone Mountain Ranch House near Golden, NM was awarded the Jeff Harnar Award for Contemporary Architecture. The ranch house is a solitary family retreat designed by Rick Joy Architects of Tuscon, AZ, recognized for it's innovative use of materials and technology and sustainable design. The Award is sponsored by the Thornburg Foundation in Memory of Santa Fe architect, Jeff Harnar.  Director of architecture at SA•P Geoff Adams, and graduate architecture student, Jennifer Garrett served on the 2013 jury.

The Award Ceremony at UNM's George Pearl Hall featured a lecture by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), a Copenhagen and New York based group of architects, designers, builders and thinkers with worldwide projects.
