School to World
SOCLAS participated in last year’s School to World event that gave 8th and 9th graders insight into the world of Landscape Architecture. Visitors were able to design their own parks using templates while students displayed examples of their drawings, models, and art pieces.

Park(ing) Day
In September 2008 SOCLAS participated in National Park(ing) Day by constructing a park out of three consecutive parking spaces on Route 66 just across the street from Campus. The day was full of music and fun as students gathered in the temporary park to read, study, draw, relax, and enjoy refreshments.

Paving Workshop
Milestone, inc. out of Santa Fe came to show students the advantages of using Porphyry in paving. They showed how different patterns were made during installation and described the query process as well.
